The project objective is to improve the quality of life of active wheelchair users with an affordable price and an aesthetic differenced from medical products. The result is JOKER, a system of bars that allows adding new utilities to the chair without difficulting circulation, and keeping belongings in a comfortable and accessible place.
The result has been designed to show a groundbreaking aesthetic, breaking the usual appearance of wheelchair accesories. The name of the product, "JOKER", refers to the polyvalent character of the product, which can develop different functions to adapt to each user and context.
A prototype was manufactured for the IDIA contest (Concurso Interuniversitario de Diseño Industrial Andaluz). The project was finalist.
